The bar chart demonstrates information regarding the percentages of women and men in Australia who obtained post-school qualifications in 1999 in terms of five diverse levels.
Overall, it is apparent that more proportion of men held upper educational level than women. Meanwhile, more men than women were keen to gain qualifications at lower and higher levels of education, while more women than men attained undergraduate diploma in 1999.
Specifically, the percentage of men with a skilled vocational diploma were significantly higher than women, with 90% and 10% respectively. However, there were 70% of female who achieved undergraduate diploma, which was doubled than male acquired.
Conversely, there was 70% of male with postgraduate diploma, more than doubled than female in comparison. A similar pattern was shown for people with master degree, with a slightly more female and fewer male. Moreover, similar amount of educational level in Bachelor’s degree was shown from the two genders, which female hold 50% and male slightly lower.
