The line graph illustrates the population that have moved from countrysides to cities in three countries (A, B, and C) from 2000 to 2025.
Overall, all three countries have experienced significant increase in the number of people who move to urban areas, but to varying extents. Country A and C presented a similar pattern compared to Country B. In 2000, country A led the chart with about 16 million of people living in cities. Country B and country C closely followed with a figure of 10 million and 6 million. From 2000 to 2015, the movement of people of country A and country C grew dramatically, with country A standing at around 40 million in 2010 and kept growing to 70 million in 2015. Similarly, country C surpassed country B after 2005 and increased to more than 50 million in 2015, despite starting with the lowest figure in 2000. In contrast, country B climbed steadily, increasing only 15 million between 2000 and 2015.
After 2015, country A started to rise slower than the past period, reaching around 86 million in 2025. Country C continues to soar rapidly, resulting in the highest figure, with 95 million after surpassing country A in 2020. Conversely, country B remained stable during the same period, and still registered the lowest figure in 2025, with 30 milliond people moving from rural areas to urban cities.
