The Given bar chart illustrates the proportion of girls per 100 boys at three educational stages (primary, secondary and tertiary), of two types countries- developing and developed, in 1990 and 1998.
Overall, it is manifested from the graph that the ratio of female students shows less than that of males in all levels within the given period except the higher education level in developed countries in both years. However, the number of girls shows a rising trend in all sectors in those specific years.
At primay stage the girl’s number grew slightly 4% in the countries that are developing compared to only 1% in rich countries, between 1990 and 1998,
The proportion of girl students in secondary level shows the similar trend as compared with primary level but the female students were less in developed countries than that of primary schools in the given years, although the number of girl students was 3 to 4 percent more in developed countries.
Finally, tertiary education is more popular for female students in developed countries in comprison with those of developing countries. The number of female students escalated from 105 in 1990 to 112 in 1998 as well as this is at the peak among all sectiors within the given period.
