The line graph shows how many overseas students enrolled in a UK University over a twenty-year period, 1995 and 2015.
Overall, the number of Asian students increased and was the highest number of all throughout the period, whereas African students number was the lowest in the chart. The figure for North America experienced an upward trajectory, while the respective figures for Europe fluctuated.
In 1995, Asian students studying at the UK university were three times higher than that or Africans, at 60 and 20 respectively. The former then doubled over the next two decades, making it the highest figure in the chart. Despite remaining unchanged between 1995 and 2005, African students’ number rose to 30 in 2010. However, this was followed by a slight dip and recorded its initial number (20) in 2015, remaining the lowest number in the graph.
Students from Europe and North America stood at 50 and 40 respectively in 1995, and these were followed by somehow similar fluctuations until 2010. North American students witnessed a sharp increase to around 70, overtaking their European counterparts and becoming the second highest rate. In contrast, Europe finished the period with 50 in 2015.
