The bar chart demonstrates the proportion of fuel from renewable energy generated for the transport in six different nations in the EU, compared to the average in 2009 and 2010.
Overall, it is clearly that the figures for EU average saw an upward trend; however, Slovakia and Austria witnessed a decrease while there was an increase in other nations in the rate of fuel produced for the transport. Additionally, the figures for France still remained unchanged after a year.
Regarding the decreasing data and France, it is evident that in the year of 2009 and 2010 witnessed the higher proportion in the use of fuel from renewable energy in Slovakia than other countries and EU average, with a decrease from 9% to 7,9%. Meanwhile, France was the only country that recorded no changes in the rate of fuel used for transport, at 6%. In terms of Austria, this nation stood at the second and third highest position among 3 nations mentioned in 2009 and 2010 respectively, with a decrease from 6,5% to 5,1%.
Looking at the remaining data, Greece recorded the lowest figures among six countries and compared to the EU average, at 1,1% in 2009 and 2% in 2010 respectively. In terms of Poland and Spain, there were two rises to 6% and 4.9%, the third and second lowest statistics respectively in both years among those nations with the increasing data. Moreover, in the year of 2010, the proportion in use of fuel for the transport in Spain and the average of EU were equal, at 4,9%.
