The chart compares the proportion of fuel from renewable energy used in the vehicle sector in six different European countries between 2009 and 2010 as opposed to the average. Overall, Slovakia headed the list, followed by France, Austria, and Poland; the reverse was true for Spain, Greece, and the EU, as they used less renewable energy.
Focusing on the biggest numbers first, Slovakia topped the list with around 9% in 2009, and fuel usage somehow fell to approximately 8% in 2010. France occupied second place on the chart with the same percentages (6%) in both years. The third and fourth places were Austria and Poland in 2009 and 2010, with respective numbers of about 6% and 5%, as well as 5% and 6%.
The other remaining nations, on the other hand, in 2009, Spain’s usage of energy was about 3%, but in 2010 this usage somehow increased to approximately 5%. The least pronounced country was Greece with about 1% in 2009 and 2% in 2010. The average usage in the EU was around 4% in 2009 and about 5% in 2010.
