The bar chart illustrates how much fuel from renewable energy utilized in the transport sector in six different European unions from 2009 to 2010, compared to average. Overall, the proportion of the fuel for Poland, Spain, Greece, the EU average increased noticeably, while the opposite was true for other categories. Meanwhile, the figure for France was remained unchanged over the period. It is also clear that Slovakia used the most fuel in both years.
In 2009, the percentage of fuel from renewable energy utilized in Poland stood at 50% of the total fuel, after which the figure increased slightly by 10% in 2010. The proportion of fuel in Spain experienced a marked rise from around 35% to 58% during two years. The figure for the EU average increased minimally between over 40% in 2009 and 58% in 2010. The proportion fuel used in Greece showed a slight rise from about 11% to 20% in both years.
By contrast, the percentage of fuel in Slovakia and Austria began at 95% and 65% in 2009, respectively. The figures rose noticeably by approximately 10% in the next years. The proportion of fuel used in France remained unchanged more or less at 60% during the given period.
