Overall, the properties in owned demonstrate an upward trend over 80 years, however the renting houses suffered a considerable decrease in their number them available.
Owned accommodation commenced at the beginning of the period with 25% in 1940 and rose dramatically to 50% in 1980 equalling rented accommodation. Additionally, it continued increasing their number, except for the last year when the trend went down from 70% to 68% approximately.
On the other hand, for the houses which were rented in Spain, in 1920 almost 80% of the accommodation available were for renting, but it rapidly fell down yearly reaching roughly 30% in 2020. Between 1950 and 1960 was the unique decade that they remained steady the same percentage, 68%. The rate of decreasing was around 10% every 10 years from 1960 to 2000, being the highest drop in the rented one.
