A glance at the chart provides some data about the percentage of Canadian industries engaged in e-commerce transactions from 2015 to 2019. Units are measured in percentage.
Overall, it can be clearly seen that industries in Canada such as manufacturing, retail, information and communications had a fluctuating pattern throughout the given period. Meanwhile, the proportion of the other category experienced a significant increase.
Before decreasing from just under 70% in 2019, purchases that Canadian industries concerned about information and communications stood at 60%, then increased slightly up to about 75% in 2018. Similar with retail, it accounted for around 30% at the start, before it gradually increased and fell to around 58% in 2019. Moreover, this is was followed by manufacturing category whose figures a fluctuated pattern starting from raising to 50%, before it fell to 45% and then gradually rose up to 59% in 2019.
On the other hand, the proportion of transactions in construction industries shows an increasing rate reached to 55% in 2019. Likewise, it experienced a moderate increase even just 10% in average for each years. Concerning the other raising category is wholesale, even though it increased gradually until just above 60% in 2019, it still lower than the previous one.
