The pie charts illustrate the percentages of energy produced by various sources in a specific country from 1985 to 2003.
Overall, the main source was oil during the whole period. In contrast, the lowest figure belonged to renewable sources. It is noticeable that the figure of hydrogen experienced an unchanged trend.
By 1985, oil figures led the pack: it consisted of half of the entire produced energy. The second highest share belonged to nuclear: it was around one-fifth. Conversely, energy produced by other renewable sources is about 1 percent. Moreover, by using natural gas and coal, more energy is mined, with 13 and 8 percent, respectively.
Regarding to end of the period, oil still had been kept the dominance with two-fifths. Natural gas and coal are used more as opposed to before, with respective 23 and 13 percent. Nuclear resources consisted of 17 percent. Finally, renewable and hydrogen’s figures had similar results; it was 4 percent.
