In 1995, drama was the dominant, accounted for almost 27%, but it fell down steadily at around 15% in the last year. A similar pattern was seen in Action genre, from nearly 17% in 1995 to about 13% in 2005. By constrast, the profits made from Comedy film grew gradually from 20% to 27% in the last year of period shown. Adventure film saw a significant variation, decreased from around 14% to 10% before surging back again at nearly 24%.
Moreover, the types of films like Thriller, Musicals and Animation consistently remained the least profitable. There was a fluctuation tendency in the earnings of Thriller and Musicals movies, from around 7% and 5% in 1995 to nearly 9% in 2005, regulatively.
