Overall, it seems that Football was the most popular sport in all years. Its figures slightly grew over the period, while others’ were fluctuating.
In 1995, Football had the highest number of interest at approximately 41%, while Swimming’s and Rugby’s percentages were at 22% and 24%, respectively. Over the next 5 years, Football’s figures slightly rose to 43% and Swimming showed significant growth at 28%. Meanwhile, Rugby had minor decline at 20%. By 2005, their proportions changed to 44%, 26% and 27%, correspondingly.
Snooker(30%), Tennis(28%) and Golf(26%) were more widespread among people than Swimming and Rugby, in the first provided year. By 2005, their numbers dramatically decreased to 22-24%. In the next five years, Snooker’s proportions insignificantly rose from 22% to 24% and Tennis did not show any alterations in its figures. Moreover, Golf’s percentages slightly increased from 24% to 25%.
