Overall, local calls always remained the most popular type of call among the categories, and was followed by national and international calls. In addition, mobile calls experienced a dramatically increase after 1999, whilst amount of local calls started to slump.
In particular, local calls were rising in the United Kingdom from 1995 to 1999, with a peak of 90 billion minutes in 1999. In contrast, a significant decrease occurred from 1999 to 2002, by changing of approximately 20 billion minutes.
However, national and international calls rose steadily during the given time interval. On the contrary, mobile calls were less common than the others. Notably, they experienced a considerably growth from 1999 to 2002. The rise was approximately 30 billion minutes. The minutes in 2002 were nearly three times higher than in 1999.
