The chart illustrates on the percentage of female going into higher education for five countries from 1970 to 2005. Overall, the percentage of female going into higher education increased in all countries. Canada has the highest while Japan has the lowest in 1970 and 2005.
In 1970, Canada has the highest at 60% of the female school leavers going to higher education then Germany in second at 50%. Compare with Japan which has the lowest at 20%. In 2005, the highest percentage of women school leavers going to higher education is still Canada and also UK at 60% then USA at around 65% the lowest is still Japan but at 40% instead of 20%.
The most imbalance between 1970 and 2006 is UK because in 1970 is at 35% then in 2005 is at 60% which is a 25% imbalance. Then in Japan is a 20% imbalance and is also the least highest in all other countries. After that is USA around 15% and then Germany around 5% the least imbalance country is Canada at 0%.
