The bar chart gives data about the proportion of females pursuing higher education in the UK, USA, Australia, South Korea, and France in two different years.
Overall, it can be seen that all of the countries experienced an increase in the number of women school-leavers who went into higher education from 1980 to 2015.
Between 1980 and 2015, the percentagepersentage of women entering higher education rose noticeably in the UK, USA, and SK. The most significant increase was observed in the USA, where the percentage grew from around 38% to nerly 60%. Similarly, the UK showed a considerable rise, increasing from 35% to 55%, while South Korea’s overall percentages remained slightly lower than those of the UKcountries.
On the other hand, Australia and France showed much smaller changes over the same period. The proportion of women in higher educationwducation in Australia remained almostalmast unchanged, staying close to 60% in both years. In comparison, France experienced only a minimal rise from roughlytoughly 15% to just over 30%, butBut despite this, both countries still showed a relatively highhogh amount of female students by 2015.
