The graph compared the normal teaching time in three various schools in four countries early 21th century.
Overall, it can be clearly seen that teaching hours in American schools were dominant among the other countries. While the figures for Japan and Iceland were relatively lower but school hours in upper secondary schools in Iceland were higher than Japan. Interestingly, teaching time of upper secondary in Spain showed similar share with Iceland, whereas primary and lower secondary school hours in Iceland were lower than Spain.
Looking at the teaching time in different school whose percentage showed higher statistics, American all schools were dominant, while Iceland school time were found to have a high level, which is distantly followed by Spain at 900 number of teaching time. In Iceland, teachers spent 600 hours teaching in primary schools and around 600 hours in lower secondary education, whereas upper secondary schools showed a significant rise at 900 hours.
Regarding Japan, an upward trend can be seen in Japan, where school hours increased 600 hours in primary school similar to Iceland, about 650 hours in lower secondary school, peak point of upper secondary education at 700 hours. Turning to Spain teaching hours increased to 650 hours in primary education, lower secondary education increased to 750 hours were higher than Iceland.
