The given bar chart below provides information about the average time a tutor expanded to educate in three various school levels in Japan, Spain, Iceland and the USA in 2001.
As it can be seen teachers in the USA spent the most time in all school kinds, albeit Japan had the least. Moreover, upper secondary teachers taught more time than lower secondary and primary in all countries.
The USA had higher index for primary than other countries, amounting to around 750. Additionally, upper secondary school indicated the highest figure for teaching hours (around 1200). Moreover, Spain witnessed almost the same patterns for all school levels, albeit to varying degrees, as the USA, ranged from just under 700 for primary to 900 for upper schools.
On the other hand, in Japan, teachers’ working hours started from around 600 for primary school. For lower and upper secondary school, this country illustrates almost identical point, amounting to around 650 and 700 respectively. In addition, Iceland also showed almost the same figure for primary school and lower secondary school, about 600. However, for upper secondary school Iceland demonstrated approximately 900 hours over the period.
