The diagrams illustrate the amount of water that was used for different products and how much income each of these products generated in the same year.
Overall, there is a noticeable imbalance between water usage and income among six products. While vegetables consumed the most water, they did not bring the highest income. In contrast, fruits generated the most revenue despite using less water.
In terms of water usage, vegetables accounted for the largest share, using 46%. Cereal and fruits followed, using 28% and 12%. Rice, dandelion and lime required much less water, with rice using 8%, lime and dandelion 3%.
In contrast, the highest share of income came from fruits, contributing 40% of the total. Vegetables generated only 31%, even though it used the most water. Cereal produced 12% of income, the same as its water usage. Lime contributed 8%, and rice 8% as well, while dandelion generated only 1% of income, which is slightly lower than its water usage.
