The first pie chart illustrates the proportion of water consumed for six goods: vegetables, cereal, lime, fruits, rice, and dandelion in 2004, while the second chart indicates the percentage of total income that came from these sources in the same year.
Overall, it is evident that the largest proportion of water was used for fruit and vegetable crops. Besides, these two products played a great role in generating the major part of the entire earnings over the period of one year.
Looking at the figures for water usage, vegetables accounted for the greatest percentage of water consumption, at 46%. This was followed by fruits, making up a much lower proportion of 28% in 2004. The figure for lime and cereal was, at 8% and 12%, respectively. Meanwhile, rice and dandelion shared the same amount of water, at 3% for each product throughout the period.
However, fruits were the main factor for providing income, at 40% in this year, and it was higher than that earned from vegetables by 9 percentage points, while cereal recorded 12% of the complete profit. Surprisingly, the figure for lime was equal to that for dandelion, at 8% each. Noticeably, only 1% of the final income was made by rice.
