The graph illustrates the most-viewed genres of movies among males and females during 2018 while the pie chart displays the age distribution of the audience.
We can clearly see from the graph chart that there were three main genres, and action movies are the major among the audience. The pie chart shows that the majority of people were between 18 – 25 and 26 – 44 years compared to the other two age groups in this time period.
The graph shows that action films had the largest number of male viewers with 45 million, while only a small number of viewers watched western films. However, women preferred these films more than men, with approximately 7 million. Romcom movies were slightly less popular than action ones among both males and females with around 37 and 27 millions respectively.
The pie chart represents the four age groups of the audience, with the 26-44 distribution at the top with a 38% share. Groups of 18-25 and 45-55 ages were marginally lower at 31% and 25% respectively, while those over 56 years old were the least active group with only 6%.
