The graph illustrates network speeds in five different Australian urban areas in megabytes per second between 2005 and 2015, while the second chart displays four sources of internet that people used throughout 2010.
Overall, Sydney had the quickest internet speed in both years, while Mellbourne showed significant increase in the speed of the network. Regarding the type of internet connection, broadband was the most preferred choice among Australians.
To begin, it is notable that the bandwidth in Melbourne rose nearly threefold, reaching just under 6 mbps from 2005 to 2015, whereas in Adelaide and Brisbane, it grew by almost one-half during the same period. As for Perth and Sydney, the speed of the internet was approximately 4,50 mbps and 13 mbps respectively, in 2005, and both increased by about 1,25 in 2015.
Turning to the types of internet connections Australian people used in 2010, the share of broadband accounted for nearly two-thirds of the pie chart . With respect to the percentage of dial up and mobile connections, they accounted for 1,48% and 35,54%, in order. Meanwhile, only 0,89% of Australians have never used network connection.
