The line chart illustrates the fluctuations in the number of requests for information at a tourist office by three different means of communication (in person, by letter/email, by telephone) in the United Kingdom over the period from January to June.
Overall, it is readily apparent that in person requests increased significantly, whereas by telephone was also a common choice, and by letter/email was comparatively less favored.
Looking first at requests made in person, it began at approximately 420 in January, which was the lowest figure compared to telephone calls and written requests at 900 and 700 respectively. By mid-March, requests made in person soared from 800 to 1,000, while a similar figure could be seen at telephone calls. In contrast, requests made by letter or email decreased considerably at around 600.
In conclusion, after growing dramatically, the number of requests in person had surpassed other categories, which reached the peak at approximately 1,900 in June. This was followed by the figure of requests by telephone at 1,600. On the other hand, written requests declined to 350 in May and remained stable till June.
