The pictures show the proportion of wold’s water distribution and how it is being utilized by Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Canada.
Overall, it’s clear that, salt water dominates the whole world water and majority of the fresh water available is in form of ice and galaciers. It can also be seen that, two out of the three countries use water for agricultural purposes the most, while the other country uses water more in the industry.
For the distribution of water, salty water accounted for 97% of all the water with fresh water accounting for only the remaining percentage. One fifth of the total fresh is ground water with just 1% being a surface water, while ice and galaciers accounted for approximately four fifth of the fresh water.
Saudi Arabia and Egypt have similar pattern of using water. Their agricultural use stood at 80% and about 78% respectively. They use water for industrial activity the least with that of Saudi Arabia just below that of Egypt. In contrast, Canada uses water the most for industrial activity which is about similar proportion with that of agriculture for other two countries. In addition, the agricultural use for Canada is just 10%.
