The chart depicts the comparison of people born in Australia versus born outside Australia living in cities, towns and rural areas in the year 1950 and 2010 alongside their percentage.
The first chart which is taken from 1950 illustrates the percentage of people who were born in Australia living in cities were 50 percent whereas those living in towns were 20 percent. Apart from that, the number of people living in the rural areas were 30 percent.
The very same chart shows the percentage of people who were born outside Australia living in cities were excessive in comparison to those who were born in Australia(60%). In contrast, people living in towns were less(10%). Those living in rural areas were more than those who were born in Australia(40%).
The second chart illustrates the statistics taken from 2010 showing that people who were born in Australia and living in cities rose to 65%, while those living in rural areas and towns are 15% each. Whereas people born outside Australia and living in cities rose upto 80%. In the contrary, the percentage of people living in towns and rural areas are 10% and 5% respectively. Subsequently, it shows there is an increase in the trend of living in cities among both who are born in and outside of Australia.
