The presented chart shows information about the percentage of civillians form four differente african country that have access to internet, starting from the year 2000 all the way until 2020.
At a first look we can already tell that most of the countries have a really low score when it comes to internet access in the first year (2000), all of them having a percentage of 0% except for South Africa – one of the most developed countries in Africa – that has around 5-10%. As we continue the analysis as the years pass, its notorious that most of the countries had an encreasing trend, except for Kenya that now (in 2010) had the same numbers as South Africa, showing a difference from the other countries of roughly 10-12%.
On the last year of this study there is an enormous diffference from all of the previous numbers that we analysed, all of the countries encreased their numbers, and all of the four show that, with the tima passing, their technology and internet access has also come to an encreasing trenn, all of them having percentages around the 40-60%, which when compared to the fisrt numbers analysed, represents a big distance, specially for the three countries that 0% at the start of the research.
Concluding, the data provided proves that, yes, in the years 2000 African people had a lack of access to internet but as the years passed, and with that the technological progress, it was possible to provide better internet conditions to these four African countries, and that must continue improving.
