The depicted chart conveys data about the distance travelled by commuters on five variations of vehicle namely, bicycle, motorbike, air, bus, and rail in the UK in the 10 year-period since 1990.
Overall, the most popular type of transport was the bus while the least travelled by bicycle.
The increases were in three transport spheres, accurately, in buses, rails, and air.
During 1990 the distance passed by buses was 40 while this value was just around 37 for rails and both these distances increased in 2000 by nearly 2 and reached approximately 42 and 39, respectively. Travelling by air also had climbing from nearly 1 in 1990 to almost 3 after 10 years.
On the other hand, people in the UK reduced the bicycle consuming, if the distance which people passed on bicycle declined from just above 3 in 1990 to nearly 1 in 2000. As for bicycles, motorbikes’ consumption also decreased in the 10-year period by almost 2 , from the same starting point. Furthermore, the total distance climbed by approximately 10 in the next 10 years and reached 110 in 2000.
