A couple of pie charts illustrate four sectors of employment, in 2009 and 2020, in two towns. Overall, manufacturing and engineering occupation had the largest share in town A, whereas engineering had the highest work in town B. Teaching vocation represented the minor proportion in town A, while the percentage of teaching and hospitality accounted for the smallest percentage in town B.
Firstly, in 2009, engineering employment contributed the highest proportion in town A, at 60%, whilst teaching occupation constituted the lowest share, at 9%. There was a nearly half percentage difference between manufacturing and hospitality vocation, standing at 20% and 11%. In 2020, the proportion of manufacturing employment increased triple and accounted for the highest figure, reaching 60%. There was not a significant difference between hospitality and engineering work, at 15% and 17%. The share of teaching employment fell to 8%.
Coming to the town B, at the beginning of the period, manufacturing vocation recorded the major share, at 40%, while teaching employment had the smallest percentage, standing at 10%. The percentage of engineering occupation was 35%, ranking second. There was not a substantial difference between hospitality and teaching, reaching 15%. In 2020, although engineering vocation accounted for the domination share, its percentage was the same as in 2009. Meanwhile, the proportion of teaching employment doubled and recorded 20%, but its figure was the less than others. There was not a wide disparity between manufacturing and hospitality occupation, at 25% and 20%.
