The graphs show the stats of Little Chalfont, a public library in a town. The numbers include the age of members, the total loans by category in 2016, and total number of loans from 2007 to 2016.
In general, the total number of annual loans grew throughout the decade. The number of loans started with a bit more than 15000 in 2007, then it increased to around 21 thousand in 2011. A slight drop occured in the following two years, reaching a bit lower than 20000 in 2013. Eventually, the number rose from just under twenty thousand to approximately 22000 in 2016.
Turning to the distribution of total loans in 2016, there were even different categories. Children’s fiction and adult fiction had the greatest percentages, with 38% each. The second largest was adult non-fiction, which contributed 13% of total loans. The other four categories had a minimal proportion with less than 10% each.
As for the age of library memebers, there were four age groups in 2016. More than half of the members were adults from 18 to 64 (51%), while children under 13 were the second largest group (22%). 15% of the members were young adults aged between 13 years old and 17 years old. Elderly people over 65 contributed the least with 12%.
