As transparent from the statistics, there was the mix in increase and decrease in the travellers’ age groups from the UK to Spain over the both period. Moreover, the tourists aged 35-54 years were consistently predominant.
In 1983, the largest proportion accounted for a half by the 35-54 age of visitors. Additionally, the tourists felling into the 25-34 years old was closely 20% , while the figure was followed by 0- 15 and over 55 age groups, standing at 10% and 16% respectively. Merely 4% of travellers were aged 16-24 which was the smallest fraction.
In 2003, the precentage of 35-54 age group tourists significant decreased to 35% but still the highest data in total. Similarly trend, visitors aged 25-34 followed the same pattern miner decreased by 8%. In contrast, the youngest and oldest age groups increased by over about 10% in both. The proportion of tourists aged 16-24 tripled, at 14%.
