Overall, the figures for tourists 0-15 years old, tourists 16-24 years old, and tourists over 55 years old an upward trend. In contrast, the percentages for tourists 25-34 years old and tourists 34-54 years old a downward trend. It can be easily seen that tourists aged 25-34 had dominated the tourist populate.
In 1983, half percent of travelers belonging to the 25-34-year-old age group visited from United Kingdom to Spain, which made up the largest portion. This was followed by the 0-15-year-old visitors at 20%, which doubled percentage of 0-15-year-old travelers at 10%. Moreover, about 16% of over-55s traveled to Spain in this year. The proportion of 16-24-year-old individuals was the smallest, at only 4%.
In 2003, although the percentage of United Kingdom people aged 35 to 54 who went to Spain for vacation allocated the largest share, there was a decreased significantly from 50% to 35%. Similarly, on 12% of travelers ranging from 25 to 34 years, which dropped 8% compared to 1983. By contrast, the oldest group and the 16-24 age range rose considerably to 26% and 15%, respectively. The youngest group was went up slightly at 12%.
