The pie charts illustrates and gives the information about the reasons of people’s use of public library in Britain in 1991 and 2000.
First of all, in the minor part of the pie chart describing reasons in 1991, we can see only two reasons: studying and obtaining information, which is only 10% seperately. The next reason by popularity is reading newspaper or magazine, getting only 15% out of whole pie chart. And the rest of the pie chart, 65% out of 290 million visitors, visit the library to borrow or return books.
Secondly, by looking at next pie chart, which shows a difference with a previous information, we can tell that the number of library visitors had a huge increase. Now we can see that a minor part of the percentage is relying to a newspapers and magazines. Percent of information obtaining inreased by two times and studying decreased by five times. The “Borrow and return” remains first and the most popular out of everything else.
Overall, main reason remains the same even after many years, but the differences still can be slightly seen.
