The charts depict the difference of the cost of one airline’s ticket between Melbourne and Sydney in two weeks in 2023.

Overall, the expenditure of airline tickets took the same trend amongst two cities whilst people generally paid more for tickets on weekends rather than weekdays.

In terms of week 1, from Sydney to Melbourne, there was an appreciable fluctuation illustrated in the figures given. Starting with 80 dollars on Monday, the ticket’s price witnessed a sharp drop to approximately 36 dollars on Tuesday. Then, the listed price on Wednesday and Thursday were 36 dollars and 40 dollars respectively. After that, on Friday and the weekends, the figures rocketed until reaching a peak at 72 dollars before descending steadily to stop at 50 dollars. Similarly, flights from Melbourne to Sydney also noticed a considerable inconstancy demonstrated by the data given.
