Overall, South America produced most of coffee, while the main importer was Europe. The shipping companies purchased the biggest share of profit.
As for production of coffee, South America produced almost a half of it, accounting for 44%. The rest was produced in Central America, Asia, and Africa, making up 17%, 18%, and 19% respectively. The least producer was Oceania, with a mere contribution of 2%.
Most of coffee produced went right to Europe. Roughly more than a half of produced coffee was consumed by Europeans(55%). Next in the list were Japanese, and North Americans, consuming around 7% and 11% of it respectively. And the rest 27% of coffe was digested by other countries around the world.
Although the hard-work put on growing and processing coffee, 75% of the profit went to the sellers(25%) and shippers(55%). Therefore, producers and explorers earned a neglibigle share of 10% each.
