Overall, people in Cambridge are avoiding motorized vehicles such as busses and cars in 2018 compared to the last decade and are preferring to walk or use bicycles as a mode of transport.
The proportion of people using cars approximately halved over the last decade, where figure dropped from 42% to 20% of people using cars in 2018. The figure for people using bus as a transportation mode also decreased by 5% reaching from 30% in 2008 to 25% in 2018.
In 2018, the proportion of individuals using bicycles was 30 percent which is almost double than the figure in 2008. One-fourth of the population in Cambridge prefer to walk in 2018, which increased from 11% or one-tenth of the total population of Cambridge in 2008.
