The two pie charts presents amount of energy made from 6 diffrent sources (oil, natural gas, coal, nuclear, hydro and other renewable) in a particular country between 1985 and 2003.
Overall, it is noted that oil produced highest amount of energy generation for both periods. Meanwhile, the renewables were shown to be the least dependent means of energy production for 1985 and 2003.
In 1985, production of energy from oil made up more than half (52%), with nuclear energy generating 22%, just about a quarter. Natural gases, coal and hydro energy made 13%, 8% and 4% of power production respectively. In contrast to other renewable energy sources, that only made 4% of the figures.
In 2003, oil remained as the primary source of power generation, dropping slightly to 39%. Power production from natural gases grew from to 23%. Although use of nuclear forces dropped to 8%, coal became more dependent, with figures reaching 22%. Hydro and other renewable sources proved to be the least with 4% for both in energy making.
