The pie charts illustrates the average household expenditure on different types of food and drinks in the UK, Australia and China by the year 2012. On the whole, spending on fruites, vegetables and starchy foods accounted almost 50% of their total household expenses.
In the UK and China had almost similar percentage for spending on starchy food by 28 % and 26% respectively while for Australia it was accounted for only 19%. For fruits and vegetables, the people of UK spent the highest amount which was 31% and for China it was 23% and for Australia is was 24%.
However, food and drinks high in fat and sugar was found more popular among the people of Australia and China spending about 22% and 23 % , where the UK showed a small amount in this category only 17%. Regarding milk and dairy Australian consumers spent more money than other two countries and lowest amount was budgeted for non dairy source of protien in the average household expense for all the mentioned countries followed by 11 % in the UK, 16% in China and 11% in Australia.
