The given diagrams express the work preference of graduates and postgraduates who did not choose to work full-time after finishing their colleges in the UK in 2008.
Overall, further educational process ranked first both between graduates and postgraduates, and either side had voluntary work as the least favourable one.
As for UK graduates, majority of them opted for further studies which overtook the second option, part-time job, almost twice, accounting for about 30 thousand and 17 thousand of people, respectively. At the same time, the amount of students who would rather be unemployed is just a little less than those who work part-time, making up 16 thousand people. The same year voluntary work caused poor interest among graduates, coming up as the least demanded, which was chosen only by 3,5 thousand representatives.
Regarding to postgraduates’ destinations, there were two principal choices which turned out to be further study and part-time work taking first and second share in this chart with about 2,7 thousand and 2,5 thousand followers. Similarly to the first bar chart, the third preferred destination among postgraduates was unemployment, showing a bit more than 1.5 thousand people, while supply of voluntary workers was fivefold less.
