The pie charts compare the 5 categories of domestic water use in year 1988 and 2008.
It is noticeable that the majority of water consumption in 1988 is washing, while the highest proportion switched to kitchen in the year of 2008.
Between the two separate years, one of the significant changes is that the usage of water in kitchen dramatically increased from 15% to 29%.Conversely, that percentage of garden sharply decreased from 20% to 7%,which was larger than the figure of kitchen in 1988 before this figure was far lower with a disparity of around 20% after two decades.
Despite that the above number witnessed a great difference in 1988 and 2008, the rest categories maintained relatively stable. The water consumed in bathroom raised slightly at a proportion of 6%, while the toilets and washing fell modestly at a percentage of 4 and 3 respectively.
