The given pie charts illustrates the changes in local goverment spending from nine different catagories in the years 2010 and 2015. Overall, pensions, culture and leisure expenditure was unchanged over the five years, while spending on welfare, interest on borrowing saw an increase. In contrast to other, defence, healthcare, education and transport expences experienced an downward trend troughout the period.
According to the pie charts, the most significant fall occured on defence and educatiıon spending. They both dropped by 3%, from 17% to 14% and 24%to 21%, respectively. Another noticeable decrease was seen in transport expenditure from 3% to 1% in five years.Healthcare expenditure slightly drop to20% in 2015.
In contrast to other categories, intereset on borrowing and welfare were experienced noticeable increase by 5%, from one in twenty to one in ten and 8% to 13%, respectively. Pensions and other expenses remained stable for the given period.
