The pie chart demonstrates the proportion of authorities spending on the Arts in the two different years and the bar chart shows the number of participants in the same four types of Arts in 1995 and 2005. Overall, it is clear that music was a leader among all four categories, not only in money spent on it, but also because the number of people at such events was the highest one.
First of all, from the two pie charts, it can be seen that music was the one section of the Arts that the government invested more money on in 1995. While literature was responsible for the smallest percentage of the whole chart. But second place, after music, was occupied by visual arts, which were accounted for less than a fifth. Theater had approximately the same figures as visual arts. However, 2005 witnessed an increase in the government’s investments in the theater section. As a consequence, there was a similar proportion between music and theater. Since, the former segment has remained stable. But visual arts experienced a decline, so there was less than 30 percent. That was closer to the figures of literature.
The bar chart shows that over the years, music had many more participants than other types of art. Theater had less than 100,000 people, but still took a higher place than visual arts and literature. Furthermore, literature heated the low by less than 50,000 people took part in two years.
In summary, the more the government invested in, the more participation in events could be seen. In contrast, visual arts had a fall in quantity of people in 2005, because of reduced investments.
