The charts illustrate the difference of time between males and females spending on household chores and entertainment in the UK in 2008.
Overall, it was apparent that tv, radio, and video were the most favorable activities of both genders. Noticeably, people tend to take longer time cooking and washing compared to other activities.
According to the table, tv, radio and video took the lead, with 137 minutes per day for men and 118 minutes for women. Both sexes shared the same level of time in books, around 19 mins/day. As for sport exercises, which have the lowest figure, only 15 and 11 mins/day were spent on, respectively.
Turning to the bar chart, cooking and washing hold the highest position in two genders, which exhibited around 35 minutes per a day for boys and double of that for girls. A likewise trend, but to a lesser extent, was true for clothes-related chores, where females represented approximately 30 mins/day, three-times the amount men did. Shopping saw smaller differences, just under 40 mins/day. In contrast, the amount of time men spent on repairs was twice as much as that of women, at nearly 20 mins/day.
