The mixed charts provide information about the average time allocated to different leisure activities and house chores by both British males and females in 2008. Overall, British men appeared to spend more time on entertainment, while the opposite trend was true for women in the same country.
Regarding the given table, it can be observed that men used their time for watching TV, video, and radio more than that of women, with roughly 137 minutes per day. Meanwhile, the average time for reading recorded at both men and women was slightly different, at 18 and 19 minutes per day, respectively. In addition, women in Britain spent less time on sport compared to men, with about 11 minutes per day, while the data for men was 15 minutes.
In terms of housework, British females were generally dominant in most of the tasks depicted in the chart. Apparently, their total time for cooking and washing was double that of men, at nearly 75 minutes per day, followed by the time for laundry and ironing at about 32 minutes, almost threefold more than men. Also, women in this country seemed to go shopping more than men, with around 36 minutes per day. In contrast, the total time used for repair was opposite of the mentioned trends, as men spent almost 20 minutes per day for repair, nearly double that of women.
