Overall, the residential and commercial sectors accounted for the highest proportions in both years. In contrast, agriculture and transport consumed the least amount of electricity. Generally, electricity consumption across sectors experienced only minor changes over the three-year period.
In the beginning of the period, the residential and commercial spheres dominated electricity usage, accounting for 28% and 23% of the total, respectively. Transport and agriculture consumed the least, at 1% each. The shares for mining, aluminium, manufacturing, and other metals were similar, ranging from 9% to 13%.
By 2010, the figures for commercial, residential, transport, agriculture, and mining remained unchanged over three years. The percentages for aluminium and manufacturing fell slightly from 13% each to 11% and 9%, respectively, while the share for other metals experienced a noticeable increase of by 6% to 18% in 2010.
