The pie charts below give data about the percentage of monthly family income spent on different items by two groups of low income and high income in one European country.
Generally, low income group spends most on food and drink – 29 per cent , fuel bills – 24 per cent and miscellaneous- 18 per cent. Wastes on recreation, culture and transport are almost identical – 11 and 9 per cent respectively. Expenses on hotels, restaurants and clothing are near as well – 4 and 5 per cent respectively. High income group spends most of their revenue on miscellaneous – 23 per cent – as well as low income group. Expenditures on transport are almost twice as those of low income group. In contrast to low income group, who spends only 11 per cent of money on culture and recreation, high income group spends 21 per cent of income on recreation and culture. Money that spent on clothing and fuel bills are almost the same – 6 and 7 per cent respectively.
Overall, low income and high income groups’ wastes on different categories are partly the same, but mainly, they are completely different.
