The pie charts illustrate the proportion of total income spent on different areas by low and high income groups in a country in Europe.
Overall, clothing accounts for the least amount for both groups, while food and drink and miscellaneous items are main areas on which expenditures spent.
Looking at the first chart, low income group spend most of their money on food and drink and fuel bills comprised 29% and 24%, respectively. Miscellaneous items accounts for 18% with doubling the amount for transport. With regard to clothing and restaurant/hotels, people with low income use approximately 5% of their money for these items.
Moving now to second pie chart, the main source of expenditures is on miscellaneous and recreation/culture with standing at a fifth of total spending. About 15% of income is allocated to transport and food and drink which is more than restaurant/hotels by mere 4%. In contrast to first pie chart, fuel bills accounts for only 7% for high incomers and this proportion is approximately equal to the one for clothing.
