The pie charts compare the percentage of different subjects which students at secondary school in the UK taking in 1995 and this academic year.
Overall, it is notable that the biggest change is the disappearance of RS and Drama classes and the appearance of the IT subject, while Geography and History classes are still among the top three most popular subjects. While in 1995 approximately the same percentage of students took Art and Business classes, during this yeas there has been a significant drop of those who prefer Art whereas proportion of people taking Business has remained stable.
It can be seen that while 9% and 12% of students were taking RS and Drama subjects respectively in 1995, this year nobody is taking these subjects and 28% of students prefer to study IT. In 1995, Geography and History had 21% and 27% of students respectively, and this year History has decreased by 2%, while Geography has increased by 2%.
It is clear that the percentage of students choosing Art as a subject has almost halved (from 15% to 8%), while the proportion of students taking Business has remained stable at 16%.
