It can be seen that IT is a new subject accounting for the largest share of students now. Meanwhile, courses such as music appreciation and local history have been removed, while cookery has seen a slight increase.
In 1985, Modern languages was the most popular, with 24% of students taking these courses, followed closely by Fitness and dance at 22%. On the other hand, Cookery, Local history and art had the same figure with 14%, 15%, and 17% respectively. Lastly, Local history witnessed the smallest share of students, occupying just 8% of total.
In the current day, IT has replaced modern languages as the course with the most enrolments, with the figure for 27%, while there was a slight decrease in modern language to 17%. Fitness and dance retains the same proportion of students compared with growing to 19% of Cookery. Additionally, Art experienced a slight drop to 15%. Finally, Music appreciation and local history do not appear in the chart.
