The pie charts illustrate how the proportion of students signing up for different classes has changed from 1985 to this year.
Overall, local history and music appreciation have been eliminated and then replaced by the new classes of IT this year. Another noticeable difference is that art and modern languages courses have witnessed downward trends, while the enrollment in cookery has risen slightly.
In 1985, 24% of students signed up for modern languages, before witnessing a gradual decline to 17% this year. The percentage of pupils enrolled in art classes relatively mirrored that of modern languages, from 17% to 15% over the period.
Conversely, there were 14% participants in cooking courses in 1985, after which a slight increase to 19% was recorded this year.
Looking at the remaining statistics, the bottom of the list was music appreciation and local history courses, with its figure being at 8% and 15% relatively. Notably, those classes have been removed and replaced by IT courses this year, which accounted for 27% of the total.
