The charts compare the percentage of participants in different programmes between 1985 and the present.
An overall assessment from the pie charts reveals that there was a reduction recorded in the rate of students engaging in almost every course except for Cookery and Fitness and dance. In addition, a new course named IT has been introduced during the period.
In 1985, the percentage of pupils of Modern languages ranked first at 24%, followed by 22% of the figure for Fitness and dance. The third position was captured by the proportion of participants in Art at 5% less than the second. Local history and Cookery were the forth and the fifth with 15% and 14% respectively, and Music appreciation held the lowest position at only 8%.
After 4 decades, while IT has replaced the position of Local history and Music appreciation, taking the leading position at 27%, the proportion of students participating in Fitness and dance remained unchanged at 22% during the period. In the meantimes, while the figure for Art and Modern languages declined slightly to 15% and 17% respectively, that for culinary skill courses rose by 5%.
