Overall, the majority of these areas use a significant percentage of water for agriculture purpose. Whereas, only two among of six utilize most of the water for industrial aim.
It is clear that North America and Europe have nearly equal proportions of water in different purposes. For instance, these two areas use approximately half the water for industry and the percentages are 48% and 53% respectively. Additionally, they utilize water for agriculture as 39% and 32%, and domestic use as 13% and 15%.
On the other hand, Central Asia is the top region that uses water for agriculture as 88%. Moreover, Africa and South East Asia have an vital / critical portion of their water to agriculture as 84% and 81%. Nonetheless, these three areas use water for domestic and industrial purposes in nearly equal percentages among 5% and 9%. Finally, South America uses less than three-quarters of its water for agriculture. While, 19% of its water is utilized for domestic and 10% for industry.
